Knoxville Fire Fighters Association President Kevin Faddis presents $45,000 in checks to local programs. Organizations included Camp Phoenix providing a fun safe place for young burn victims to learn how to accept whats happened , Red Cross- disaster relief for East Tennessee families affected by house fires, and the University of Tennessee Cancer Center- for cancer research and treatment due to the increased risk of cancer for fire fighters based on working conditions. Ronald McDonald House- to help families of young children getting treatment here locally for serious illnesses. It helps with the overwhelming expenses of being away from home and work for extended amounts of time for their child's treatment.
